The obligatory college blog "Donate" button.
If you recently came into possession of large sums of dirty money which you'd like get rid of, or perhaps just like the way my blog looks, then please consider donating to Darrell's Bills, Books, and Beer fund.
Who am I kidding, you and I both know I'm not gonna get shit from this but it is worth a try, right?
I’ve finally decided to give a full explanation of this site. No more beating around the bush.
I’m Darrell and as you can probably assume from the domain name, I am exacting revenge against something. As to what that would be, the domain was bought long ago when I was in 10th grade. Since then, the object of my vengence has changed. So whom do I seek revenge on now?
School? Work? Is it my cynicism, or perhaps underground ninjas who may or may not have killed my parents at a young age? Could it be existential; could it be that I’m possibly seeking revenge against myself? Really, I don’t know what I’m committing revenge against, alright? I told you that I bought the f@*king site years ago.
Now I’m in college, where all I do is feed my cynicism. I’m a Political Science major by day, freelance web developer by night, and web lurker, uh…later in the night. I am fluent in PHP (who isn’t these days) and can get by on most other C based languages. I can also hold my own in a discourse on power relations within Foucault’s panopticonic perception of modern society.
So what’s this blog about then? You got me. Isn’t that what blogging is supposed to be, just some crazy man talking about various nonsensical conspiracies against him? That’s what I do now I guess. While I can’t give you a definitive program of what will show up on here, I could say that topics will most likely range from political theory to Javascript tutorials to random memes. There are probably only a few vanguards of blogging now compared to how it was a decade ago. Unfortuneately, the likes of Facebook, Twitter, and Gawker are slowly suppressing independent blogs. So in the spirit of old school (as in a post-Tripod/AngelFire, pre-Facebook era) blogging, I submit to the interwebz my personal solitary realm.
